FMPFeed the Hungry Project was birthed in 1987 as a God-given vision to Mrs. Louella Thompson. The project began in her home and as a result of the great demand the project grew tremendously and needed additional space almost immediately. After putting more than one addition on to her home, in 1990 the vacant land next to her home was identified as the future home of Louella Thompson Dream Center Feed the Hungry Project. The building project was finally completed in 1997.

The Feed the Hungry Project went from feeding 100 people in 1987 to more than 650 people by 1989. The Feed the Hungry Project currently prepares and distributes over 7,500 meals annually, to the homeless; at-risk youth; elders in need; those struggling with addictions; families in transition from welfare to work; and those who are unemployed and under employed in the Middletown area. Special meals are prepared for holidays such as Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Today more than two decades later, Louella Thompson Dream is still alive and continues to be a source of hope and nourishment both physically and spiritually in the community.
